Mk XR Doors


18mm plywood sheets separated by a lead membrane to resist anticipated radiation levels. Doors faced with 4mm plywood or high density chipboard to recieve veneers 6mm hardwood lipping to both long edges and to top and bottom edges if required.

These X Ray doors are available as single or pairs of doors in a large range of sizes and finishes to suit customers requirements.

Manor X Ray doors are of extremely robust construction in order to withstand the hard usage frequently encountered. The centre lead membrane can be any thickness from CODE 3 (1.32mm) upwards as required for the radiation level involved. Pairs of doors must rebated meeting stiles with the lead to the meeting faces. Glazing apertures can be provided subject to the use of radiation shielding glass. Frames for X Ray doors must also incorporate lead membranes and, for this reason, we prefer to supply both doors and frames as complete units. X Ray doors and frames must not be perforated.


Core of 2 No. 18mm plywood sheets seperated by a lead membrane of a thickness in keeping with anticipated radiation level. Doors faced with 4mm plywood or high density chipboard to receive veneers; 6mm hardwood lippings to both long edges and to top and bottom edges if required. Standard door frame section EX 150mm x 63mm hardwood. Door thickness with Code 5 lead 46mm. ~ 2mm. Average weight 54.OOkg/m2.
